Mom, I miss you

Mom,

I miss you

I miss our mornings in the gardens with coffee

I miss your laugher

I miss our relaxing afternoons strolling through the market

I miss buying you the first gift on all my travels

I miss our late night chats over a few glasses of wine

I miss the weekends in the kitchen where we spent it dancing

I miss your loving embrace

Most of all, I miss all your calls.

You were my favourite person to talk to about life.

A couple of times a week were never enough.

My heart is aching

My hands are shaking

Never realised how good it was until the moment you were gone.

All fell silent, and I was left broken.
